#innerG xChange (FEB)

Unpacking the notion that 'its already here'. Don't chase... Attract.

Here's to All Things February!

So we're officially 44 days in, my friend! We all screamed "Happy New Year", and thank goodness the Chinese will restart the party this Friday, 16th. Welcome to the Year of the (obviously downward-facing) Dog

February is also "Black History Month", when we celebrate the prevailing influence and impact of African Americans in this country. And while this is an esteemed observance, I often wonder about its unique timing... annually and during the shortest month? What's clear to me is this... in this era of exposition (of all isms- racism, sexism, activism, patriotism, capitalism, fanaticism, mysticism, ageism, etc.)... hold everything up to the light of truth, and fully accept what you see. Then join the effort to change what you don't like.

I stand in the truth of honoring Africa + America's rich, blended heritage and legacy every day that it matters... and it matters everyday, all of the time. I will contribute to this revolutionary shift by staying present and ROOTED in my power as an African American Woman. My innerG will sustain the rhythm of my ancestors, the strength of my sisters and the Eternal Light in all of us.

And of course, I've gotta say something about Valentines Day. "SOMETHING!" There, I said it. lol

Seriously, the best thing I can say is "Don't chase... Attract." Be secure with and committed to how you stand up for yourself. In doing so, you manifest a righteous connection with others.
  • In seeking love... practice self-love. Period.
  • In seeking recognition and rewards... give yourself a 'yes' in business and professional affairs. This could be a change in your perspective or standard procedure.
  • In seeking community... notice who's already here. Examine your relationships (I'm a firm believer in the "Reason*Season*Lifetime" poem). Show your gratitude, and if you choose, indulge in Cupid's festive accoutrement ; ). Also if necessary, have closure. There's no need to run, hide or force. "Don't chase... Attract."

And... *drumroll + confetti + bubbly please*... Happy Anniversary, Style Root!!! (or as my dad calls her, "Rooty" ; ) Together, we've had 13 years of creative trials, undeniable errors and remarkable success. I'm not a human mother (yet ; ) but you are my proudest living accomplishment. Mommy loves you. xoxo

And in the spirit of my baby, lets get ROOTED in Winter! Its that season, friends!! Join me THIS SATURDAY! You do not want to miss out.

Aren't you wondering what to do with all of this new year innerG? Well, I can tell you the answer is NOT "run full speed ahead". Lets realign our efforts to embrace the flow inside and around us. Lets honor the rituals that fortify us now and prepare us for later. Its what being whole-self employed is all about. RSVP with Eventbrite here.

I hope you are enjoying this innerG xChange... my biggest attraction in 2018 to date ; ) Opportunities abound when we live out our truth and celebrate our innerG.

Namaste,
Trina xo
