Communications · Strategy · Experiences · Community
Authentic connection is the most underrated strategy there is. Style Root is a boutique consultancy that helps brands and organizations communicate with clarity, engage with intention, and show up with style that runs deeper than aesthetics.
"The spectacle, it turns out, doesn't need to be louder. It needs to be smarter."
INCA Productions · Substack · April 2026What We Do
"We style the experience. We root the relationship."
Style Root was built on a simple belief: the most effective work starts below the surface. For more than 15 years, we've partnered with brands and organizations across sectors to go deeper, to the root of what they truly are.
Trust · Communication · Connection · Experience
The four principles that are more than values; they are the product.
What Sets Us Apart
Style Root works at the intersection of depth, precision, and rigor. Every strategy is led by a mindful principal who understands that how people feel in a live or virtual space determines what they do when they leave it.
This mindfulness informs the methodology.
This shows up in how we run a kickoff call, navigate a tense planning meeting, or read a room mid-event and adjust in real time. Calm is a deliverable too.
We ask what's true before we ask what's trending. The strategy follows from there, every time.
We help you develop a signature presence that is recognizable and entirely your own. Elevated in presentation, grounded in intention.
15+ years across luxury fashion, premium hospitality, social impact, and cultural institutions. The range is the asset.
We help organizations grow from genuine identity, not manufactured image. Sustainable performance begins inside.
True partners from concept through impact analysis. Present at every stage, not just execution. The vision is held all the way through.

Our Work
Story shapes the message. Strategy shapes the plan. Experience shapes what people remember. Style Root brings all three together. Three tiers allow organizations to engage at the level that serves them, from foundational counsel to full-service production. Every engagement begins with a complimentary consultation.
Expert guidance for organizations who will execute internally or with existing partners.
Where the vision becomes real. We own the full lifecycle and mission, so you stay present with your guests.
Targeted expertise for organizations that need specific support within an existing team or project.
Rooted Well
Rooted Well grows from the same place everything at Style Root does: the belief that sustainable performance, in organizations, in teams, in individuals, begins inside. Rooted Well is a distinct offering and the root made visible.
For organizations seeking dedicated wellness programming, mindfulness facilitation, contemplative leadership development, team retreats, or transformative community experiences.
Founded by Trina Morris — a mindful leader whose commitment to wellbeing is the practice, the method, and the standard.
Wellness is the root. Everything else is the fruit it bears.
Half-day to multi-day experiences integrating mindfulness, yoga, meditation, and reflective practices.
Mindfulness-based sessions for stress reduction, presence, and emotional intelligence, drawing on breath, stillness, and movement.
Facilitated dialogue circles for team building, conflict resolution, or community listening.
Recurring wellbeing sessions for staff, leadership, or community members (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly).
Selected Engagements
Over fifteen years of engagements across sectors, scales, and stakes. Client names included where public; withheld where confidentiality applies. The work and its impact speak for themselves.
The Engagement
For 12 years, Style Root served as a contracted, senior-level producer for INCA Productions — a global luxury creative agency founded in London, with Style Root among its foundational New York team. The work spanned 50+ events across fashion weeks, brand activations, and emerging designer platforms, including the historic launch of NYFW: Men’s and NYFW: China Day. The relationships built through that platform compounded over time. When LaQuan Smith’s show director needed a full (show and venue) producer, the call came directly to Style Root. No agency. No intermediary. That’s the kind of credibility that only gets built one season at a time.
The Approach
Multi-season lifecycle ownership with zero margin for error. Luxury fashion taught us that no detail is too small, and that the best production is invisible to the people it serves.
"The kind of execution that makes a brand look inevitable — every detail so considered that guests never see the work, only the world it created."
The Engagement
What began as a consulting relationship became something much larger in three months. Butterfly Art Collective, a Phoenix-based art-led impact organization brought Style Root in as a consultant and quickly recognized what was being built. Within the quarter, the engagement expanded to a full-time fractional Communications Director role, then ten months later to a promotion as Events and Engagement Director — encompassing nearly every service Style Root offers under one roof.
The centerpiece was Resilience, a national public art and storytelling campaign spanning 25+ tour markets, designed to translate mission into movement. The campaign launch exhibition at the Phoenix Art Museum drew 400+ guests and featured over 100 original butterfly sculptures, generating local and national press coverage, arts trade interest, and contributions to six-figure charitable fundraising. Strategic partnerships were cultivated with GIFFORDS, Sandy Hook Promise, and the Arizona Educational Foundation.
The Approach
Strategy and storytelling held together by deep listening and community-balanced design. The human lives came first. The contemporary art and message followed from there.
“Art led to action.”
The Engagement
Cloth & Flame is a high-end experiential agency that creates temporary venues and culinary experiences in some of the most extraordinary and remote settings imaginable — from desert landscapes to lavender fields. As Lead Producer across 12+ premium destination events throughout the Southwest, the scope included end-to-end logistics, cross-functional team direction (15 to 40 people including food and beverage, design and decor, production, vendors, talent, property), and client liaison work with five- and six-figure production budgets.
Among the most memorable was the agency's inaugural Lavender Day festival — a brand-owned event that carried higher creative stakes precisely because it was the agency's own vision on the line. Across all Cloth & Flame engagements, up to five simultaneous activations ran in concert within a single event: live entertainment, hands-on activities, retail stations, curated tastings, and guest talks. On at least one occasion, a surprise marriage engagement was woven seamlessly into the guest experience.
The Approach
Experiential architecture in extraordinary places. Every detail orchestrated so the setting does what settings are meant to do: make people feel something they couldn't have felt anywhere else.
“Guests stopped asking what was happening next. They started asking how soon to bring someone.”
The Engagement
The Fashion Institute of Technology’s Continuing and Professional Studies (CPS) department had strong certificate offerings, but needed something shorter, more immediate, and distinctly alive. The NYC Shop Talk & Tour series answered that. Seasonal walking and transit tours of the Lower East Side, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, and DUMBO — neighborhoods that already did or would go on to define New York’s pop culture scene — brought together groups of 5 to 20: curious locals, international students, and early-adapting professionals.
Every route, transit connection, retail stop, and lunch detail was planned in advance and executed with the precision of a private itinerary. Tours ran April through November, five to seven hours each, and often sold out before they ever launched. For four straight years, the series drove meaningful CPS programming revenue. Many participants returned to experience every neighborhood. Several became long-term clients. Not because of the neighborhoods. Because of the guide.
The Approach
Neighborhood as classroom. Every route, stop, meal, and conversation was curated to make the city itself the experience — and the guide the reason people came back.
"They didn't just see the neighborhood. They felt like they belonged to it — and came back to feel that somewhere else."
The Engagement
They weren't running on empty. They were accomplished, high-performing, and still hungry for something more: disconnected from purpose, navigating pivotal transitions, or simply seeking the work/life balance that achievement rarely leaves room for. The first engagement was Within, a 3-day leadership retreat at Mountain Shadows Resort in Paradise Valley, AZ, produced by Design Dept and attended by 100 female-identifying design leaders across the top Fortune 500 companies nationwide nationwide. Rooted Well served as the wellness lead throughout, holding the contemplative and somatic thread of the retreat from opening to close.
The work held. From that success came two additional invitations: co-led 2-day Winter and Spring wellness retreats at the same property, in smaller groups of 8 to 15, alongside a complementary practitioner whose modalities included sound healing and herbology. Across all three retreat engagements, each day wove together vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, mindfulness meditation, intentional breathwork, and Seed Circles into a signature wellness architecture that built session by session.
The Approach
Movement, breath, stillness, and circle. A signature wellness architecture that meets each person where they are and moves them somewhere new, session by session, retreat by retreat.
"They came in accomplished. They left with something they didn't know they were missing."
The Engagement
BreatheBro began as a simple, compassionate act: free yoga classes for Black men in New York City, with space to speak honestly about breathwork, healing, and what it means to exist in a body the world doesn't always protect. Over 75 men shared their stories on a purpose-built platform, testimonials that became a living archive of Black male wellness nationwide. The work found lululemon before lululemon found it.
A Brooklyn store ambassadorship followed: community wellness classes, curated workshops, and the co-production of Worth It — lululemon NYC's first town hall on wellbeing and overcoming racism in wellness spaces. Held after closing hours, the room was filled with dedicated lululemon customers, BreatheBro participants, educators, practitioners, yogis, and lululemon's own corporate family. The event was received with distinction at the corporate level. Two annual A Day to Breathe events followed: one at lululemon's Flatiron event space in Manhattan, one at a high school in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.
The Approach
Community first, platform second. BreatheBro built the trust, the audience, and the room. Worth It was what happens when that work is met with the right space and the right moment.
"Everyone left that store heart-filled and committed to change."
Fort Greene Clinton Hill Courier, May 30, 2008
The Engagement
What started as jury duty became a years-long creative partnership between Trina Morris and the Board Chair of Brooklyn Community Housing & Services (BCHS). No pitch. No referral. Just two people who recognized something in each other, and the trust that followed.
Fashion on Fulton & Friends was BCHS's flagship annual fundraiser. The event was genuinely, intentionally Brooklyn — not just in location but in composition. Over ten respected Brooklyn-based designers showed on the runway, with more than forty models, a dozen hair stylists and makeup artists, two Masters of Ceremony, and production and media teams — all drawn from and connected to the community being served. Style Root sourced, cast, and coordinated every element of that talent infrastructure.
The scope spanned full experiential strategy, runway production, PR and media relations, and vendor management. It was only BCHS's third organizational video, produced at a moment when nonprofits were just beginning to invest in media as a development and storytelling tool. Style Root brought that branding capability to the table, and the event raised more for the organization during this partnership than at any prior point in its 30-year history.
The Approach
Production in service of mission. Every decision — from casting to communications — was made to move the room toward generosity and reflect the dignity of the community being served.
"The event raised more for the organization during our partnership than it had at any prior point in its history."
The Engagement
It began as a trial. Christie's New York, the world-renowned auction house, brought Rooted Well in on a wellness contract to offer weekly vinyasa yoga classes to staff at their Rockefeller Center offices. Skepticism was present in the room. So was curiosity. Both were welcome. Over 4.5 years, that curiosity compounded into something rare in any corporate environment: a genuine, sustained wellbeing practice built by the people who showed up for it, week after week.
The contract grew organically as the work proved itself. Weekly vinyasa classes expanded to include bi-weekly chair yoga and mindfulness meditation sessions. The setting became part of the experience: classes held in the Rockefeller Center offices, and on select occasions in empty Christie's galleries between art installations — where the silence and the art created a container unlike any conventional wellness space. The residency reached its pinnacle with Rooted Wellness Week, a Monday through Friday programming event featuring the full range of Rooted Well modalities alongside wellness seminars and lunch-and-learns. Christie's became the first and only corporate wellness client to host a dedicated week of integrated programming of this scope.
The Approach
Meet people where they are and stay long enough for it to matter. Skeptics became practitioners. Practitioners became advocates. That is what a residency does that a workshop never can.
"What started as curiosity evolved into 40+ dedicated participants who built a wellbeing practice they sustained while still at work."
